I was never in the armed forces anywhere, but I've seen some current footage of this war and it definitely does resemble it a lot, especially the no man's land's trees do so. The biggest difference might just be that trenches are even less safe nowadays, due to drones being able to bomb you or they relay information and you get accurately hit by artillery and mortars.

I also hope some Ukrainians are watching this so they can learn from your pov sprigs

I've had COVID three times. I'm vaccinated (thankfully) so the last two times my symptoms were very mild. But the first time was a real kick in the ass. The weird thing is, though, that you never had the same symptoms from day to day. The first day, I had a runny nose and sore joints (which made it hard to sleep because any small bit of pressure on my joints caused discomfort). The next I had chest congestion and sore muscles. The third day my throat had swollen and my nose was congested. It was all so random. I also have definite 'long COVID' issues like occasional brain fog.

Spigz is a beacon. Let me explain, he stays smiling and humble no matter how crazy the world has gotten. And is willing to live his life to the absolute fullest he can. A side note: I believe a lot of people considerint suicide would benefit from listening to his stories. He just shows that it's possible to keep on going even in horrible situations and raise your chin to do it again, and again.

And the government is saying we're not at war with Russia... While I don't support the US or any western country getting involved with the Russia-Ukraine situation I have nothing but respect for Sprigz and what he does. I don't 100% like it but if you're willing to risk your life to help others you believe in then that being a true hero.

I was in an MOS that had us in training status for 2.5 years before we'd even hit our first duty station. I remember a year in, some sergeant had the nerve to say that "we weren't even soldiers yet." Technically true, but it kind of epitomized my experience in the service. Needless to say, suicides and mental health issues were rampant on that installation.

Working in a county jail, ive never seen an abuse of power like hes describing. but sometimes if an inmate wants to scrap they gotta get a little reminder and get knocked on their ass. I work in a place with a natorious reputation for cruelty and corruption. Beating a cuffed man is just disgusting though.

The fact that Ukraine has lasted this long makes me doubt that most dictators' armies are as strong as they present them to be. An obviously weaker nation is showing them up, and the Russian corruption was fully exposed in the process. It is difficult to get away with corruption in the US Military and as one of the primary reasons why it's so powerful. Without checks and balances, the military is just the enforcement arm of the biggest crime family in its country.
